The South Texas Archives is a division of the James C. Jernigan Library of Texas A&M University-Kingsville and was established to preserve and to make available to the public documentary materials about the history and natural history of South Texas. Currently, the archive collection includes books covering the history of South Texas, a manuscript collection, microfilm of local government records, old newspapers, and area ranch records, as well as photographs, and oral history tapes.
