Named for Narciso Martinez, long considered the “Father of the Texas-Mexican Conjunto” music, the Narciso Martínez Cultural Arts Center preserves and promotes Mexican and Mexican-American heritage through art, film and literature, as well as performances of music, theater and dance. Annual events include the Narciso Martínez Conjunto Festival in September, and the International Poetry Festival in April.
